Strength and confidence are two essential attributes in life. With that said, they don’t always come easily. During a difficult time, it may be hard to find strength and confidence within yourself.

Even if everything is okay, you may still be searching for some extra strength and confidence. Keeping a token with you that symbolizes these two qualities is a good idea.

There are many different symbols and ways to incorporate them into your life. You can find them in the form of something materialistic or as aspects of nature.

Examples of Strength and Confidence from Around the World

Different symbols of strength and confidence have different backstories. Each story is unique, giving each symbol its own specialized meaning. The symbol that speaks the most to you can be because for many different reasons. You may like its actual backstory, how it looks, or maybe you happen to have a frequent run-in with it.

Strength and Confidence are just umbrella terms. These symbols can mean something more specific than spending on the person. Some may see them as a symbol of loyalty or a symbol of courage. How you interpret a symbol depends on your story and what you need the most at the time. A symbol that speaks to you may change over time, or there may always be one constant.

In Japan, yellow holds a very favorable meaning. It is the symbol of courage and nobility. Yellow is also an ideogram of happiness, energy, and mental clarity. By bringing yellow into your life, you channel your inner strength and confidence. It keeps you loyal to yourself and leads you towards the brighter things in life.

Red

Red is the strongest symbol of strength that you can find. It is the “official” symbol of strength and courage because of the substance it represents.  Blood courses through the body and is significant in life. It’s what allows the body to have vitality, power, and energy. It also goes to the heart, which can then relate the color to love and passion.

Symbols Found in Nature

Take a look outside. Symbols of strength and confidence are all around you. You may not notice it at first glance, but when you look for them, you’re sure to see at least one of them.

Nature symbols can either be models of the plant or living things, or they can be actual things.  If it’s a model, it can take shape in the form of a keychain, drawing, or figurine. No need to capture any living thing to get strength on your side!

Peacock

Around the world, peacocks are well-regarded animals. We know them for their beauty and feathers. Although it’s possible, it’s not very often that you see a wild peacock. This is part of what makes them such an alluring animal that we are enamored with.

Besides beauty, peacocks also represent confidence. This is because their spirit is full of self-love and self-confidence. For one who is looking to boost their confidence, this is a great symbol to align with. It is encouraging and offers you the opportunity to be the best version of yourself.

Butterfly

We’re all familiar with butterflies and chances are, even just seeing them fly by makes us happy. They’re colorful, bright, and seemingly filled with happiness. A butterfly is the symbol of family strength and hope. This is because they have to do with gaining strength after loss.

The reasoning behind this is that after we lose someone close to us, we become very down. We tend to turn inward and give ourselves the chance to grieve. Grieving is a process that takes time and is very individualistic. The amount of time it takes depends on the person. But at the end of the process, we become a new person. This is very similar to a caterpillar and how it turns into a butterfly.

Lotus Flower

The Lotus Flower plays a big role in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism. It’s an aquatic plant that grows out of murky water. Despite this, the lotus flower actually blossoms with no stains. This is because of its protective outer layer when it is growing. Because of this, it is the symbol of strength and resilience.

Despite what it grows from, it turns out to be beautiful flowers with no damage. Just like humans. We grow from our “murky” situations and come out stronger than we were before. The strength of our protective layer is unbreakable, even when it doesn’t feel that way. The lotus flower also opens its blooms at sunrise, sending the message that each new day is a fresh start.

Oak Tree

The Oak Tree is now for its resilience in strength. In fact, over 11 countries, including America and England, use the tree as their national tree. Leaves may fall and branches may break, but the tree never falls. It goes through all the seasons and storms, yet stands through it all. We too can get tossed around and challenged, but we never break.

In Louisiana, there is an oak tree that is over 1,500 years old still standing. These trees are able to live no matter what gets thrown at them. Their perseverance is admirable and is something that we can relate to ourselves.

If you want to use the oak tree as your symbol, you can dedicate an oak tree in your name or even plant one in your front yard. Or, if you want a constant reminder, a painting is always a good option!

Meanings Found in Symbols

There are so many symbols that have strength and confidence attached to them. You can pick one that you like based on design or the one that speaks to you the most. Here are my three favorites:

Evil Eye

The evil eye is a symbol of loyalty and strength. The whole meaning behind it is protection for the wearer. It protects them from anyone or thing that is wishing them negative energy. It makes sure that all aspects of you get protected from any bad intentions. The evil eye stays loyal to the wearer and makes sure that they are out of harm's way. It brings strength to the wearer since it helps them overcome any obstacles they may face.

We made our evil eye jewelry to protect your intuition, clarity, confidence, vibrance, and wisdom. It wears off the bad spirits and lets in what you want. There’s no better way to make sure that your inner strength is protected than by wearing one of these pieces!

Cross

A cross represents having faith in yourself. It is a reminder that you are strong and can keep pushing through. It doesn’t matter if you have the world in your corner or just one person. You believe in yourself and that’s all that matters.

The cross symbol is all about trusting the process. Sometimes you’ll hit detours and get knocked down, but each time you get back up on your feet. You try and try again, refusing to give up. You have the strength in yourself to keep trying and the confidence to believe you’ll get to where you want to be.

Our cross jewelry is all about your journey and what it takes to get to the destination. It’s a reminder of how much you have overcome and how strong you truly are.

Mending Heart

It isn’t easy to fix a broken heart. It takes a lot of hard work and uncomfortable feelings. The mending heart is one of the most prominent symbols of strength and perseverance. It isn’t easy to pick yourself up when you get your heart broken, but that’s exactly how you fix it. You start going out with your friends, work on yourself, and find comfort in the uncomfortable.

While your heart is mending, you still will have difficult times. Healing isn't linear. If you have a bad day or moment, it doesn’t mean that all is lost. What matters is that you are strong and allow yourself to fear your emotions. Crying or getting upset isn’t a weakness. It’s a sign of strength and growth. Never underestimate where you are in the process.

Our mending heart pendantearrings, and charm ring are the perfect way to acknowledge your strength during this time. It is a constant reminder that you are on the mend and won’t be stuck in this place forever. Soon enough, your heart will be full.
